Rochelle Toner (Rockie) is an artist and educator whose career spans more than five decades. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Illinois, she built her practice in drawing and printmaking while teaching at Clarke College, the University of Illinois, and later at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture/Temple University, where she served as Dean from 1989 to 2002. Her work, rooted in the dynamics of nature and organic form, has been exhibited widely and is represented in major museum collections. Honored as Printmaker Emeritus by the Southern Graphics Council International in 2010, Toner continues her studio practice between Philadelphia and Rock Hall, Maryland.
